Tag Game Round-Up #5

Tag Game Round-Up #5

Back with yet another tag game roundup!

WIP Quotes

Rules: Pick five quotes that your characters have said about your protagonist, then five quotes your protagonist has said, and then tag five people!

All of my works are multi-POV, and I have more than one protagonist in each, so I hope it’s okay that I’m just going to pick one and go with it. For this time, I’m going to pick Vadra from my fantasy WIP, The Pirates of Sissa.

Quotes characters have said about Vadra:

#1

…the Emperor mused. “Yes, I remember him. Quite a dedicated fellow, wasn’t he?”

#2

“You’re an idiot,” she said finally. “If you want to stay alive, don’t say that sort of stuff around them. They’ll take your life for hers. You’ll only dig a deeper grave for us all.”

#4

She should’ve known. Vadra’s fate might have been tied to hers, but he was still a Sissan, and he’d made his hatred for her and her people clear since the first day they’d met.

Quotes from Vadra:

#1

There was only one answer he could give – the one answer he did not wish to give.

“Yes, Your Majesty,” he said. The words, harsh and unforgiving, tasted like bile on his tongue.

#2

“It’s not for you,” he said, finally meeting her gaze. “We pride ourselves on being refined. Our execution methods should reflect that, or we’d be no better than the savages. That’s all.”

#3

“Never mind. I am too tired to argue. Both our people have suffered tremendous loss. Would you deny them the chance to cultivate a peace?” When she didn’t answer, he hopped off the table and made for the door. “I thought you were perhaps a better leader than this.”

#4

Vadra thought he might have underestimated the pirate whose life had become entangled with his. What else was there to learn about Sahra Ren?

Character Stats

Rules: Abilities include Strength, Dexterity, Endurance, Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma. Each ability has a maximum of ten possible points.

For this tag game, I’ll be using 4 of my OCs from The Fall of the Black Masks. I kind of went overboard and made graphics because I got really into this, so I hope you enjoy!

Mila might not be very strong physically, but she has a great level of endurance and a lot of wisdom - the latter of which I personally link to her general naiveté. Throughout her time with Ragnar, she teaches him a lot of life lessons and sort of leads him back onto a healthier path through life.

Ragnar’s a very jaded man, but he’s also a very strong and handy guy. His strength has decreased in the past decade due to his depression and just generally letting himself go, and he doesn’t really talk to people unless he needs to, so charisma’s a bit iffy. But despite everything he’s been through, he has endured.

Viggo’s a slippery fellow. Very intelligent and manipulative, but somewhat lacking when it comes to strength, dexterity, and wisdom. His endurance isn’t great, either, but he’s been through a lot in his life and has been able to get by.

Linnea, who you might remember as Mila’s best friend, is highly intelligent and charismatic, but lacks physical strength, dexterity, and endurance - a part of her comfortable upbringing. (Which is not to say that Mila hasn’t had a comfortable upbringing - but she had the chance to run wild and be a tomboy due to her lack of a mother figure, whereas Linnea is a perfect young lady based on societal expectations.)
